“Embodying The Essence Of The Skeletal And Ligamentous Systems” with Rachel Lynch-John

Two Workshops: In these two workshops we will look at how we can develop clarity of action and thought, through an embodiment of the skeletal and ligamentous systems, exploring the qualities of being that arise out of these two systems combined. As we define the skeletal and ligamentous structures and functions, the potential for greater comfort and ease of movement in our body and practice can evolve.

September 28, 29, & 30 / Friday 5-8PM / Saturday 9-12PM & 2-6PM / Sunday 9-12:15PM & 1:45-3:30PM
Full weekend – 5 session workshop: $290*Early Bird | $310 in advance

Exploring the Skeletal Structure and Dynamics of the Lower and Upper Limbs to Find Support and Ease for the Spine.

In this workshop we will examine pathways within the limbs, to better understand the relationships from the foot to the pelvis and from the hand to shoulder girdle and ribs. We will develop and refine ways in which to direct our limbs, as we move into and out of an asana, and within our daily activities.

As we begin to understand how our limbs function, we can start to unravel old patterns and habits that may be causing us discomfort or pain and to reeducate our selves to facilitate a more finely tuned and easeful way of being.

October 6, & 7 / Saturday 9-12PM & 2-6PM / Sunday 9-12 :15PM & 1:45-3:30PM
Full weekend – 4 session workshop: $250*Early Bird | $265 in advance

Exploring the Skeletal Structure and Dynamics of the Spine.

Axial Skeleton: (from the head to tail)

In this workshop participants will examine the structure of the spine and its curves: cervical, thoracic, lumbar. The structure of the vertebra, vertebral discs, sacrum, coccyx, atlas, axis, hyoid and the ligaments of the spine.

The two workshops will culminate in an experiential exploration of the skeletal and ligamentous systems in movement. Finding ways to utilize this knowledge to enhance the ability to see and sense discord in the body, and to develop tools to help discern how to approach issues that present themselves, allowing for each asana and practice to evolve in a way that is helpful, healing and supportive to each individuals needs.
